I think in some cases it is far more than a marginal increase. I make just $120k at one of my jobs but I could make $400k+ at a job for a company far less ethical. Hell, a guy I know hit $700k one year at Ye Olde Meta (that did include exercising options though).

The allure of being able to retire early is nice. But instead of seeking high paying jobs I just mix and match multiple low paying ones from smaller companies and achieve roughly the same thing with less stress.

People here don’t believe in real protest. They think peaceful protest makes a difference, it doesn’t. They think waiting until elections and voting makes a difference, it (mostly) doesn’t.

Until enough people realize aggression and possibly violence is the answer, nothing will change and they’ll sit around with their thumb up their ass wondering why.

Where I primarily work we have one meeting per week for 1 hour…and it’s glorious.

Other places I work love their stupid agile shit so we’re talking minimum 2 hours of meetings per day generally + one on ones + ad-hoc meetings + support meetings. It’s useless, middle-management pandering crap.
