My dude. I don’t think you’re fully aware of the scope here.

To give context, decades ago, people were saying the same shit about Photoshop.

Before that, it was digital printing in general. Decades before that, photography. Same for other media. Special effects in TV and Movies. Hell, motion pictures. Go even further back, you’ve got the Luddites. If you’re not familiar with those poor bastards, give the subject a read.

There’s no real fight against this tide you see coming. This “AI infection.” Technology progresses regardless. Like every complexity in life, there are good and bad effects, and whether we like it is irrelevant in the grander scheme. The Luddites got absolutely fucked, and the industrial revolution kept churning.

But let’s table that discussion of “if I can do something”, and get to “why”.

a lot of people Do NOT like the AI bullshit

That’s fair. I am often one of them. But why should I value these opinions more than those of others? We already have a system for people to express those opinions. It’s the voting system. And unless something violates our very, very tiny ruleset, I have no reason to intervene. If enough people want to change that rule set, then we’ll discuss it and make the changes.

But until then, let’s let people post their shit. Some might like it.

  • I’m sorry, are you gatekeeping shitposting? Do you really understand how much dumber shit gets posted in these things? For weeks, we had the stupidest fucking posts about beans. Fuckin beans.

And everyone ate that shit up.

So yeah I’m not touching the slop bullshit, regardless of how it was made, since it’s not actually breaking any rules. You don’t have to like the post. I don’t have to like the post. But others do.

And if this bothers you, unsubscribe. Otherwise, be respectful.

  • I’m guessing it’s more dependent on the brands you’re buying, but there shouldn’t be that significant of a flavor change. Also most cans have a liner inside them to protect the contents from chemically affecting the contents. I just checked a few sources for various products, and all of them were simply the beans in a water solution.

Some did include salt, which may be having a minor effect. The French cut, julienne, provides a higher surface area / volume ratio. This means the beans will “marinate” in the solution more effectively than larger cut beans. As in, the salt and water have better access to the inner parts of the beam, leaving them more tender and “marinated.”

I’m using that weird very loosely because I honestly can’t remember the right word.
