We barely turned our PS5 on until about a year and a half ago, it was the Switch that was getting all our love. Now we have a Switch 2 we barely touch and the PS5 gets attention cause games are on sale (nobody bought it lol)

I do PC game, but I prefer console because there’s WAY less fiddling and tinkering due to hardware issues or shitty game ports. I was excited for the FFVII steam sale until I saw the reviews complaining about stuttering and performance issues. I prefer a painless, boot-it-up-and-play-immediately experience over modding capability.

The main issue the OP is saying is how tiny the text is, and that it’s hidden in the middle of a sea of text. You only take medicine when you’re feeling like shit, so having to squint and find information that is vital to your health is a tad annoying. RIP to anyone with dyslexia, poor eyesight, hangover/drunk, etc. trying to read these labels quickly or in pain.

Holy fuck I’ve been playing AA5 in Japanese for practice, and the names kill me, both for being stupid and/or for making me sad that I don’t get the puns right away. But I’ve laughed at a couple already, and looking at the localization comparisons (French too) is entertaining.

But on a serious note I fucking HATE reading when the prosecutor of this game, Blackquill (Yugami in JP ver) talks because he speaks with this delinquent/yankee + archaic fusion that is absolute hell for an intermediate learner to read. Like if he would just talk normally, I’d know immediately what he’s saying, but then bro drops some edo-period word and I have to look up sword metaphors.

I think it’s a bit of #5, but like others have stated, we have other communities on the Threadiverse that meet the requirements of the other numbers, like !nottheonion@lemmy.world for silly news headlines and !microblogmemes@lemmy.world for social media text post memes/funny posts. So I think we could gently encourage users to post to those communities instead.

The onky thing I’m not chill with is people just straight up posting the news/screenshots of serious political takes, but that’s an issue at !microblogmemes.world, not here imo. Outside of that were not too bad here.

Maybe I can beg artists from instagram and twitter to migrate/post to fediverse with this. Looks awesome, thanks!

I try to have this account be my funny account and my other lemmy account be the more serious, news-orientated/political account, but microblogmemes allows so much of this “screenshot of a literal fact” posts that it pollutes both accounts’ feeds.

This unfortunately made some issues for me, as the service I was using to study Japanese had an SRS, so the reviews were based on times. I did find a timezone setting but I swear the website didn’t have one originally.

Anyway most of the time the timezone settings don’t matter but I wish I knew how to toggle just that when I need it.

I think you can play as a woman in a newer game, but I really can’t think of why other than Ghost being hot??? But I’m not the intended audience for CoD or regular porn at all so I know my opinion probs means nothing lol.

I haven’t played the tactics games yet (Ivalice right?) but you just broke my heart. I love tactics games man, and I feel like there’s not a lot of them outside of the Fire Emblem series. I haven’t gotten around to many to be fair though.

Yup, KH = Kingdom Hearts. It’s more typical smack your enemies to death action, not turn-based. I think the only one that truly could be seen as a strategy game would be the card based side game, but that one is also still real time battle, not turn based.

Anyway, I’ve got a huge backlog of other games I gotta get through, so I probably won’t be replaying them anytime soon. But when I do, I will gladly relish in wiping the floor with Sephiroth and the lot 😌 just gotta git gud soon

I didn’t finish it as a kid, but I got through the first circuit of worlds in KH 1 fairly easy. I picked the game up again last summer so I could finish it and play through the whole series, and 19 year old me was borderline in tears on some of those boss fights. I was on normal mode. Thankfully I was playing Remix, so I didn’t have to hear every boss speech 40 times (“Ee oo, not Clayton!”), but it still felt bad man.

One day I’ll go through the games again and fight the secret bosses on hard, but thinking about the amount of grinding it’ll take makes me cry internally and curl into a ball.

Funnily enough, I spent like 5-7 mins before posting trying to get both imginn.com and imginn.io to pull up the reel, and they both said nope. I tried fiddling with uBlock Origin, but it didn’t work, and both IronFox and Vanadium wouldn’t load it. So I gave up and assumed they broke or smth.
