Less than 10% of anime viewers have an opinion on ever-encroaching ads, limited selection and AI subs? Are you sure about that? We’re anime nerds. We have a LOT of opinions.

He probably has, back in the days when Crunchyroll was worth its price. It’s 2026, though. There are many reasons we stopped using it.

And this is how I found out.

I don’t understand your logic there. Being the “‘change my mind’ meme guy” is a legacy. Using the meme template is keeping the legacy alive. Even if it was just the response to the meme keeping his legacy alive, then surely you wouldn’t use the meme template anyway, so they have nothing to respond to?
This is assuming you DON’T want him to be easily searched by people wanting to know more about the meme, thus exposing them to his hateful rhetoric, of which the original meme is a blatant example.

Why grant him a legacy at all? Especially since the original of that meme is a tool of his bigotry.
It’s like champagne. If it doesn’t come from Japan, it’s just sparkling animation.
Yes. You’re giving the companies WAY too much credit for owning the blender they throw stolen content into, and you’re even trying to give them ownership of what clearly doesn’t belong to them. I’m sure they’re just as eager to claim they did all the work and license the materials they use as you are.
I try not to call people idiots in debates, so there’s really only one reason you’d be giving them so much support.
The AI company stole other people’s code, threw it into a blender, and is selling the output. They didn’t do any real work, and they don’t own the materials. They have no legal claim over the result. You do not own a car you made from stolen parts, no matter how many cars you stole from.
Stop trying to imply your buddies at AI companies have value.
The AI company didn’t do shit. They stole apples from someone elses tree and threw it in a blender. They didn’t make the apples, nor did they buy them, so they don’t legally own the juice.
If Fantasy Name Generator isn’t doing it for me, then AI is definitely not going to cut it.
For me, the story and characters are the fun bit, and I stick to the mechanics as they already exist for the most part. But the names… I struggle naming one character. Naming large numbers of characters in a way that feels cohesive is hell.
My assumption is they meant a much thicker rope, but yeah, definitely not as heavy as they say.

Nah, it means it got the most votes. One vote doesn’t always translate to one person, and I’m fully willing to believe Reader’s Choice needs a better captcha system on its votes.

Isekai may be “by the numbers”, but at least those numbers aren’t just ones and zeros.

Rather generous to call them an author.

Easy moral patch: These specific goblins have all made unambiguously evil choices that warrant a good slaying. Like kicking dogs. You’re not slaying goblins because they’re goblins, you’re slaying dog-kickers that happen to be goblins. There are plenty of goblins who do not kick dogs, but they’re not a part of this fight.
This is still a political statement that dog kickers are evil. I doubt anyone would mind that, and those that do are better off leaving my table anyway.

Nah, you’d just write up the first level in an Incident Report covering multiple dead demons. And more to the point, both bureaucracy and warfare are forms of politics, so killing demons is still a form of politics, with or without paperwork.

So, you want less bureaucracy and more warfare? That’s a pretty bold political statement right there. I’m sure there’s nothing political about war.

The episode is “The Principal and the Pauper”, where the Skinner you know is revealed to be an imposter. At the end of the episode, everyone agrees the real Skinner is a jerk, so they just stick with the imposter and pretend nothing happened.
Which is why it’s backwards. 2014 is represented by a jerk.
If they aren’t an anime nerd, would they be using an anime piracy site?
