Dont forget this game has been in development for a lot longer than the RAM/SSD price increases have been forseeable - from the perspective of their development cycle the ram upgrade would have been a pretty low cost upgrade.
Both deserve the cudgel, with the difference that the russian populace actually risk something if they protest, but the american populace is so silent on this you can hear the crickets.

Even DDR4 went from ~50€/2x16gb module to 180€ - utterly insane

nope, there should be a picture. you seem to have an issue connecting to catbox.moe, where it’s hosted.
A bit of selfresponsibility would help both sides tho - if you browse /all, you get /all, so instead of downvoting stuff you are not subscribed to and where you might be missing the context of the community, it would be best for you and the others to just filter the community instead of downvoting every single time.

oh well, it seems i vote a ton in comparison
I must disagree - i am socially liberal, but i can plainly see that capitalism does not move us forward and is actively harmful at this point. There are areas where a tightly regulated free market has it advantages - not every area should be centrally planned, and i am not a proponent of abolishing private ownership. But i am very much for much stronger regulation and state ownership for the areas that are important for the populace and social peace, like energy, healthcare, pensions, housing, military, everything judiciary and basic food supply. Everyone should be able to have a life that is worth living, and the state does not have a say in anything social outside of some basic tenets - intolerance is basically outlawed, except intolerance towards exploitation or intolerance. There are of course many other important things that i can’t even start to think of, but noone is asking me anyways - but you see, social liberals are inherently left wing if they actually are social liberals.
Just Nerd Things? It’s the only explanation i can come up with, at least when taking the time when this was decided into account

Well Heroic Launcher works fine for my GOG Library, so that’s not so much of an issue for me. What i miss much more is Playnite, which integrated pretty much everything from steam to GOG, Epic, Amazon and Emulators for pretty much everything.

The best character in Buffy!

I think Gog is more popular then ever, because people start recognizing that buying from GOG is like buying organic produce and has it’s worth - they are in a pretty good market position with this image, and i fully believe them when they write that “[they] have seen more enthusiasm from gamers towards [their] mission than ever before”.

It’s also important for the induction of critical thinking - children need to be exposed to a large variety of information and social context to form a sharp mind.
Not every liberal is right wing - liberalism can be differentiated into social liberalism and economic liberalism, a point that is sorely missing in every US-centric discussion. Social liberalism is inherently left wing, and therefore their criticism of communism has a different reasons than the right-wing position.
I bought mine at the first price hike from 40$ to 60$ which was a pretty good decision.

For the most part. There will always be exceptions, but social mobility in the western world is decreasing, and in poorer countries the situation is even worse. When you are born in a specific social “caste”, there’s a good chance that you will never get out of it. The probability of a child exceeding the education level of their parents is also low.

I really dodged the bullet by upgrading my aging 2600X with an 5950X and filling the memory banks to 64GB on my AM4 platform half a year ago, I really hope that the current price level entices a few new players to enter the market.

Ask yourself: are you ready that if push comes to shove, that your life is derailed for years by lawsuits, lawyer meetings, court orders, cops raiding your home, and financial hardship because of all this? if the answer is no, you have to make sure this is not traceable back to you. I admire your aspirations, but don’t ruin your life over it.
Edit: and that is not even taking into account what might happen if you lose in court, with the very real possibility of loss of freedom and/or life-destroying fines.
It seems the further we go, the more we have to realize that “design by committee” has nothing to do with public owned vs private owned, but with becoming too big too care.
