That is much clearer than the article puts it. Thank you.

The analysis, published last week in the journal Nature, showed that children diagnosed before the age of 6 were more likely to have behavioral difficulties—such as problems with social interaction—from an early age. In contrast, those diagnosed after the age of 10 were more likely to experience social and behavioral difficulties during adolescence.
So if you have behavioral problems early, you’re more likely to get diagnosed early, when you have behavioral difficulties later, you’re more likely to get diagnosed later.
The phrasing here seems to want to imply a reverse causal relationship, but I’m pretty sure the conclusion here is that kids don’t get tested for autism before they display autism-like behaviour.
As for the actual causes of autism, I recently read that the genetic and family is about 60-90% of the causes, making it by far the biggest cause, and not environmental factors like RFK likes to suggest. But it’s not a single gene, it might be other stuff, and it’s not an on/off thing but a big pile of factors that add up.
But there are also environmental factors that do have an impact. Not vaccines or Tylenol, but some kinds of pesticides, for example. Maybe that’s something RFK could focus on.
Wait, is Jutta Leerdam dating Jake Paul?
Is this the new Smooth Criminal video?
Everything to destroy US farming, right? Block exports of crops, block imports of necessary machinery.
It’s always the customer who pays. I thought people knew that by now.
They lucked into it. They made their cards for gamers, and various groups, AI researchers, bitcoin miners and others, discovered that they those gamer GPUs were really good for other tasks too. I think it took a while before Nvidia started making specialised cards for those purposes.
I can’t really blame them for serving that market that they just lucked into. I can and will blame them for their terrible Linux support.
Well, they now control all the money, so they can decide all the value.
Just ground all planes until the stupid circus is resolved. That should out some pressure behind it.
The whole situation that federal employees don’t get paid money that has nothing to do with the budget fight in DC, because of the budget fight in DC, is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. I get it that they can’t fund new projects (so what about ICE?), but this is just stuff that’s going to have to be paid anyway.
Of the abundance of ridiculous nonsense rules in DC, this is by far the worst, and that bar was already very high.
March was the first month of the Roman year. Not sure why that changed.
But if that’s how you’re going to run it, why not also train it in that mode?
Or they are passionate and curious about reinventing the wheel.
Well, there’s multiple months in a year, but only one day per day, so that makes total sense somehow.
Isn’t this basically a kind of insider trading? They wouldn’t be allowed to buy that stock, knowing that this deal is about to happen, but receiving it as part of the deal is okay? That doesn’t feel right to me.
What!? It’s more user friendly this way. No need to make the user switch to a totally different device when you can tell them right here!

(I hate pointing out sarcasm, but it’s better not to risk it these days.)
Do they have any evidence that F-droid serves more malware than Play Store?
I recently looked into this on another forum where someone shared some articles supposedly proving bias. One article was itself highly biased to the right, so not particularly credible.
The other article, from an organization that ranked the bias of news sources, was very neutral and objective, took accusations of bias seriously, went into detail, and removed the “unbiased” classification from Wikipedia, but didn’t conclude any provable bias, leaving it unranked. The best example of bias they had was the fact that articles on socialism and communism didn’t list Soviet atrocities, but those atrocities have their own pages and are also mentioned on pages of the countries involved, so that was not a great example.
All these accusations are just the result of a massive right-wing campaign against facts and reality-based reporting. Everything that doesn’t follow their propaganda is biased, according to them.
This does sound very interesting. I should have said the debuggers I’m familiar with don’t do it. Or if they do, I have no idea how.
Certainly setting breakpoints on certain conditions instead of just a line, would help a lot. Being able to step backwards through the execution even more so.
Don’t worry too much about the rat race. Take time to enjoy life and experience things with people you care about. The best moments in life can be really small things.
At the same time, don’t waste too much time doing nothing either; use your time well, but use it to develop and improve yourself, learn something useful. Get a job you enjoy or consider important, at least. Doing work that you enjoy or consider important is far more valuable than the money you make. But don’t ignore the money either. Just don’t sacrifice your soul for it. Don’t work yourself to death for a boss who doesn’t appreciate you. Don’t burn your relationships for money.
