Personally, I’m preparing to do things to resist in my personal life like preparing to buy firearms and training with them as well as researching how to obtain gender affirming care by illegal means for my sister’s sake.

When it comes to actually defeating the fascists though? Unless we all gather into an organized armed uprising, then all I can do is protest and prepare to defend my loved ones with my life. The best I can do is hide in the shadows waiting for that organized resistance. Once that happens, hopefully I will have practiced with a firearm enough to give my life up to defeat them. If we all fail, then there will be nothing that can stop him considering the entire democratic party are essentially the same thing

As much as I would love to believe the good in humanity, at this point I’m skeptical that even if 50% of the population started to resist the government that it would do anything. After all, both viable parties are in the pockets of the billionaires that bought our current government. So unless we have a straight up armed uprising, this will mean nothing.

I mean, for me personally money was only part of the equation considering I was willing to put myself in debt. I could have better job security doing a trade job if money was the only factor. I also found computers inheritly interesting and the job was in high demand at the time. It all has backfired now though, despite developing a passion for tech and software overtime. I honestly SHOULD have done something only for the money instead of finding the best of both worlds, but hindsight is 20/20 I suppose

I mean tbf, this is more personal rather than political but, if this comment section is any identification I doubt I should be the person who does organize a resistance. This is me with time to think about my replies too, imagine me with a real time debate with someone. I have a group of friends and a family with similar opinions to mine, but would that truly be enough to resist fascism or would we all be broken or annihilated with no impact at all?
