I don’t really get where you going - you’ve sent a lump of comments about some “widespread burnout” - I know there is a lot of stuff that’s broken in the world, but you are not giving details to what exactly you are talking about. “Sick society” - are you from US? Because not all societies are sick now.
I understand that you’re bitter about the world, and that you suffer from how things are going, but why do you spill poison on me just for saying something about fucking washing machines? Did I do something to you?

Are you ok? I just humbly confirmed that I considered something I’ve always had a given, where it is not. The billionaires thing: do we know each other?
Also, what I always had, I’ve had in different forms. Like, when I was a kid, we had this Siberia-6 washing machine, which was ok for the Soviet Union that was crumbling into pieces around us, but by the western standards, the technology was like something from the 60s. It was such shit that I washed my socks by hand, does it count?
I also wore said socks until they had giant holes in them, same as my sweaters. I was only talking about this with my billionaire friends, but now you also know.

News@lemmy.world•California officials warn against foraging wild mushrooms after deadly poisoning outbreak
2·22 hours agoFirstly, please don’t drag me into “bias people” conversation, my comment was about mushrooms, not people. Secondly, I stated that some types of mushrooms have no lookalike, so you can make a safe choice of collecting only them. So, as deadly Deathcaps and some edible mushrooms (Cortinarius caperatus, we call them “chickens”) look alike, it’s better not to try collecting “chickens” at all.

News@lemmy.world•California officials warn against foraging wild mushrooms after deadly poisoning outbreak
45·1 day agoThis is, in most cases, bullshit. There are some mushrooms that resemble something else, but many species are so far away from anything else in terms of how they look, that you know from afar: “this is okay”, or “this is inedible/deadly”

News@lemmy.world•California officials warn against foraging wild mushrooms after deadly poisoning outbreak
81·1 day agoDo they mean, that some people foraged death caps, died, so suddenly mushrooms became overall more dangerous? This is not how it works!
Oh, sorry, I both was born in and live in a place where a washing machine is something that is there by default. Yes, this is not given, and in this case washing machine is more important
exactly 10k is bullshit, but I don’t see why it still can’t be a cutoff. 3-5k is too low, 20k+ only happens when you are actually hiking or sightseeing all day while travelling (unless you have a work where you run back and forth all day)
Cook and wash up 3x daily - this is also crazy. If it is supposedly a workday, you won’t be home for lunch. And you don’t want to or have to cook every time you’re home, and for the dishes, there exist dishwashers (if you don’t have one, make sure you get one, this is the single best thing that happened to us if we talk about chores. We had a 12+people party yesterday, and it only took 2 runs to not think about dishes, over than 30mins for putting them into the washer).

“[do something illegal], disappear to Tirana” can be really lucrative, so I wouldn’t care about my plane ticket spending. Wait until it joins EU, and it will be much easier to do whatever you want (otherwise it will be hard to explain, why you keep leaving the country, never crossing back

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•I work long hour and make little money
33·14 days agoIn this exact case you will be washed away with a wave of homophoby. Because in Russia, many people with otherwise sane and non-destructive views are still homophobic. To compare with some other country, I would say it’s something like in Turkey.
So if I was trying to improve Russian society through “good kind of propaganda”(not sure it’s a thing), I would start from something else, and not from this problematic topic. Otherwise if will be generally harder to find wide support.
And when I’m thinking of that, homophobia in Russia is just a result of people “worrying too much about other people’s shit” - everyone knows how you should or shouldn’t live, and ready to tell you about it. So if you work on that in general, that would help.
You say that USSR was “caring” about anyone’s comfort, I say you don’t know what you are talking about

But he is not a poser!

News@lemmy.world•U.S. citizen shot from behind as he warned ICE agents about children gathering at bus stop, lawyers say
291·1 month agoIt’s not Putin who banned something, guns were historically harder to own in Russia, and USSR before.
And gun ownership doesn’t really help in the US right now. People sit with their guns being quiet.

News@lemmy.world•U.S. citizen shot from behind as he warned ICE agents about children gathering at bus stop, lawyers say
943·1 month agoEven in Russia, people are not being shot on the streets: detained, beaten up, etc - yes (I’m not saying this is good of course), but not shot. The US quickly took the lead in some of the dystopian stuff.
See you in the Jacuzzi
