That is very true, ugh.
Which is weird when you see the IRL support and hype around Bernie and AOC. The people want more left in the democratic party.

1·1 year agoCool! I do save by author sorting (and language sorting) and then manually drag them in my home folder so I have a backup on my SSD. but this is way easier :)

31·1 year agoInfluencer sponsorships, especially for beauty influencers, have already been declining. Companies realize that these influencers are just posting ads now and people don’t believe their “honest opinion” anymore. So it’s a mystery to me why companies still pay so much money for regular online ads.

5·1 year agoUnrelated but I always call myself dumb which “isn’t that deep” but I recently realized I do feel dumb when asking questions when in fact we are the opposite of dumb since we want to expand our knowledge and we know that we don’t know. Most people just stay ignorant and don’t want to see themselves as not knowing everything and thus they stay dumb.
Anyway, thanks for coming to my Ted talk and you’re not dumb!
Dub watchers are either German (they love dubbing the fuck out of everything) or English speakers (they’re not used to not having content in their native language so subtitles distract them)
Thank you! I love this idea
That’s not huge, but I recently ran into some issues of my DS lite not accepting a too big SD card
Seriously? I need this on my DS now too but I think it’d be a huge file

Technology@lemmy.world•Bluesky is booming in Japan — mainly for reasons other than U.S. politicsEnglish
7·1 year agoI use 4 feeds:
- Following - full control over who I want to see
- Popular with friends - I use this to find new people since my mutuals are liking these posts
- Booksky - just everything reading related
- GameDev - speaks for itself
What I also like better than Twitter is whenever I reply to someone / quote tweet someone but block them after, other people won’t be able to see the post anymore. I’ve noticed (at least for now) that helps a fair bit against pile-ons and rage baiters. Hope it stays that way.

813·1 year agoI’ve been on bluesky for a while (over a year). My (leftist) bubble was complaining about how boring it was for the longest time. Now I keep seeing people complaining about the influx of the “new” people joining. And here I am complaining about the complainers. Oh, to be a human on the internet.
Hmm I’m in (western) Europe and don’t get any volume warnings at all. Not sure why.

Exactly this is the reason why I gifted it to someone. I’m already glad they don’t use 1 password for every website.
