    Back in the Cronkite Era, there was an FCC policy called ‘The Fairness Doctrine.’

    If a TV or radio station broadcast an editorial, they were required to provide time for the opposition. Also, no one company could own more than one TV station in a town.

    Ronald Reagan started the war on that as soon as he took office.
