The federal government should charge Texas for the costs to remove the unauthorized barriers. The fact that the rest of us are paying for their idiocy is appalling.

U.S. District Judge Alia Moses in Del Rio, Texas, in a written order, criticized the Biden administration for its “utter failure” to prevent unlawful entry into the United States, but said Texas was unlikely to prevail on its claims that a federal policy of removing the fencing was illegal.

God Republican judges have universally become such clowns. “Fine. I’ll enforce the law and Constitution if I have not other choice but I’m still going to include false far-right talking points in my order!”

For anyone that cares about the truth, 2022 saw a record number of apprehensions at the border (you know, people being prevented unlawful entry) and 2023 has seen even more.

I don’t understand. Since when can the Feds just waltz onto private property and destroy fencing on it?

    The 4th Amendment:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
