Wow, I’ve read the whole thing. If that goes through, they are going straight back to the 1880 labor’s law, with child labor, no overtime and whatever the company wants to contract you. The consequences will be massive.

Yeah, adjusting prices each hour or each days is kind of stupid. But when you’re looking at price adjusting in weeks or months to follow the seasons…it makes more sense but stupid nonetheless.

Have you seen the margin? You don’t know what you’re talking about.
But it takes 2 more minutes to heat up. You end up wasting more water waiting for it to become hot enough

Never heard that Lemmy.ca deferated from our beloved sailors.

India is 1.4 billion people. Canada has 33 millions spreaded in a much most vast area than India.

Plex.tv It’s a free multimedia server that you can install on your computer and start streaming your own video & music to yourself or your family and friends when you share your server. I paid for the Lifetime license because it’s worth it. I own a 36tb server at home and I shared my server to about 20 people.
Envy and jellyfish are other open-source solution that are also great to use.

Plex along with Plexamp

It’s been more than 25 years of accumulating mp3, editing and cleaning my libraries, upgrading to flac, etc. Now going strong at around 600gb of music.
It might be overkill and some sysadmin don’t like using them but Ubiquity with their Unifi model is all I’m using at home. USG as my router/firewall, 24-port 500w PoE switch, unifi cloud key for interface, and an AP-AC-Pro for WiFi access. The access point is enough to cover all my house and even my backyard.

Backblaze on a B2 account. 0.005$ per gb. You pay for the storage you use. You pay for when you need to download your backup.
On my truenas server, it’s easy as pie to setup and easy as 🥧 to restore a backup when needed.
More like stuxnet level !
