At least they admitted it. That said, I’ll never fuck with anything ‘vibe coded’, AI sucks.
She/Her - I’m just a random transfem on the internet. A cat assigned dog at birth. A girl just trying to make it in a cruel and unforgiving world.

I got Boost once they released the Lemmy version, and then I got one single PragerU ad. That pissed me off, a lot, those shitheads are my enemies. I basically coin-flipped between picking a different app that wouldn’t give ad space to those pricks, and just buying the ad-free thing, but laziness prevailed and I bought the thing instead. Still on Boost to this day.
Fuck advertising, the entire advertising industry, and the plain concept of forcing your brand in front of a person’s eyes non-consentually, should all disappear in the future.

Games@lemmy.world•Over a hundred thousand Dune Awakening players got swallowed by the sandworm | Massively OverpoweredEnglish
281·8 months agoI played the beta weekend, I liked it. I want to play it again once it’s out in June, although there were annoying parts. The sun gives you heat stroke or something as a status meter, and it makes you dehydrate faster until you get to shade. With how often you’re out doing stuff in the sun, it was kind of annoying, because I just had to keep going on blood harvesting trips through NPC camps, to proccess it at my base to keep my water stocked. But in the full game with better tech unlocked, I’m sure it ends up being fine.
A lot of people also got pissed at the sandworm because if you get eaten, all your stuff is destroyed with no way to recover it (unlike a normal death where you can loot your corpse), and sometimes it can feel abrupt when they breach. That said, I never got eaten ny the sandworm in my ~15 hours of play during the beta.

Technology@lemmy.world•FTC: Big Tech is "on notice" with new hiresEnglish
10·1 year agoThey’re going to turn around and say the anticompetitive and illegal behavior they’re watching for is “dei hiring,” and that these companies’ employees aren’t white or straight enough. Or else it’ll be when companies refuse to comply with “the spirit of” any of Trump’s next 5000 pre-written unhinged executive orders that wouldn’t apply to private business, like calling women or minorities humans or something.

Games@lemmy.world•If You Downloaded 'Cyberpunk 2077's Latest Patch You ALSO Got a 'Cyberpunk RED' BonusEnglish
68·1 year agoWhat they neglected to explain was that Cyberpunk Red is the fourth, and latest, edition of the Cyberpunk tabletop RPG on which Cyberpunk 2077’s world and game mechanics are based. This document they included in the game files is a rule book for that.
That’s rather defensive and hostile to what that other person said, but go off I guess?

33·1 year agoAnd then when they do update the game, and add 20 more dollars of new dlc at the same time, if you’re someone who likes mods, well congratulations. Your installation is ruined and you can’t go back to your saved game(s) without there being some level of headache involved. At this point a high seas version of stellaris would probably be a relief, since there’s no auto updates and all dlcs. But here I am, a sucker who bought like three-quarters of the dlc over the years and can’t even play it because I’ll just be sad my last playthrough got ended prematurely with a dlc release… Fuck Paradox and all their games.

Yeah, she died in Alien 3, and then was cloned, with an alien still implanted in her (it came along with the cloning process, somehow?) in Alien Resurrection. The process also made her somewhat superhuman. Real odd entry in the series, but I liked it at the time.
