What Lemmy app is this? I got Voyager at the start and haven’t shopped around, and this one looks nice!

It’s basically a web frontend to allow you to manage, organize, and download roms that also has the ability to play roms for certain systems in the browser using Emulator.js. The idea is with this you have a self hosted repository of roms with nice box art and meta data that you can download to any device or optionally play in the cloud if you want as well. I installed it a few days ago and it’s really slick! It didn’t handle the metadata for every game perfect, but for what it is it shows a lot of promise.

I ran my Pebble Time into the ground, so I’m hyped as fuck for this. I bought it in my early highschool years and wore it nearly daily until last year when the rumble motor finally gave out. Still wear it from time to time, but it not buzzing for notifications is a bit of a deal breaker for me.

I bought a replacement and it’s so pristine I didn’t want to risk slowly damaging it at work, but now I’m charging that bitch up and running it into the ground until new Pebble comes out. Thanks for sharing OP, this news made me week!

Bonus, here’s what mine looked like as of a few years ago right when the vibration went out. You can see I slapped a skin on it to cover up the bezel scratches, but the screen still looks totally fine!

Evoland games are a neat commodity. The whole “game grows in complexity” gimmick is pretty well done, and their chock full of references to games of the past. Definitely not the peeps I’d expect to make a massive space game that was actually good though.

Is there any reason you recommend two specifically over three? I know there is a third Orcs Must Die game but I have no idea if the community considers it “good” or not.

Good recommendation! I’ve played a decent bit of Zomboid, but never with any mods. I definitely should check some out!

I own DOS 2 from back when it came out, does DOS 1 still hold up? Would it be better if we just played 2 either way?

Just saw a post about this on TikTok and every one in the comments where cracking jokes and basically saying it was good she died. Couldn’t believe it. Whether or not you agree with how she ran YouTube, there’s no reason to be so cruel to a parent who died just after having to bury their own child. Glad Lemmy is being more thoughtful and respectful about this horrible situation.

I feel like this group of people are the kind that would already be on Linux though. If you’re that anti Microsoft why be on any version of Windows when such a great suitable replacement that also still works on these older systems exists?

Spider-Man 2, it’s was the cookie cutter definition of a safe sequel. More of the first game, but marginally bigger and better. Combat felt improved, web wings made traversal more fun, story was taken up a notch (though I still think I prefer the first games overall). I kinda just felt like my time with the game was a little too short for seventy dollars. Honestly just another couple side quest lines would have been enough to make it reach the playtime that I would have expected. I did really enjoy it. It is a better game than the first one. 16hrs is just a little too short for this kind of game I think. I am very hopeful for the DLC and I’m really happy with where they took the story. I need to go back and complete the collectathon stuff, but I have seen some of the Spider Shots you get for them and I’m not super interested really. Most seven out of ten game I have finished this year.

I circled back to vanilla no DLC RimWorld. I’ve owned the game for years, have quite a bit of time in Dwarf Fortress, but due to the fact I tried to mod the game right away it didn’t hook me. Turns out it’s really hard to learn a game and look stuff up when you have 200+ mods that alter things in tiny ways to make them completely different than base game. New colony is going strong! Just finished unlocking the advanced research bench, stable food source, strong outer walls. Such a fun game. I’ve been missing out. If anyone has any beginner tips or anything let me know. I’m gonna try to make it all the way and build the space ship!
