That someone’s name and even address is published is so completely unimaginably absurd to me. makes no sense whatsoever.

Should be noted that to my understanding it only restricts visibility of this account on the official bluesky client. And only inside turkey. the accounts are not banned. the owners can still access them.
And third party clients (which can ignore the moderation-labels) can still see and interact with those accounts just fine. even inside turkey.

Oh, i had a very nice french neighbour at my old place. She was singing french chanson in a café i was a regular in. There was also a Franco-German friends’ association that met there from time to time.
Especially in southern Germany (but actually almost everywhere), French or French-speaking people are quite widely represented and very welcome!
I can understand if you don’t want to give up your homeland. I would only leave Germany as an absolute last resort either. Then i would probably try to flee up north to the Scandinavian countries.
But I have to say, looking at the situation in the States, without wanting to sound overly dramatic, there is a good chance to think it’s already reached the point of no return and best is to gtfo now. I mean, at least from the outside perspective, it looks really really bad.
Of course! And i think German is not that difficult anyway. Since English is a Germanic language, it’s relatively easy for many people who already know it to learn some German.
I’m afraid the main problem would be the housing crisis. e.g. i’ve been without my own place for over 2 years. Have to sleep on a couch at a relative’s small appartement. I basically occupy the living room.

Whats with Inertial Navigation Systems? No need for outside signals. Afaik they tend to drift after a while, but a quick search says a high-end INS is still accurate to the meter at a distance of 50km (~30 miles). That sufficient to hit a group of meaty target.

Most webservers run Ubuntu and it is the default OS for the overwhelming amount of cloud providers. Some run Debian though. Most enterprise applications run Red Hat or CentOS.
I never heard of OmniOS. Quick search says it is a distant descendant of OpenSolaris.
Given how rare that was already used back in its time and how practically nullexistent the community is for it (compared to Linux) I can say with high confidence the users are limited to a few enthusiasts and hobbyists.
Alpine is a special case and is indeed quite useful on VMs or IoT devices. I used it successful as base for a taped-together home automation server on a repurposed android phone.
