It’s become a habit for many people. Cooking is a really difficult habit to (re)learn. It’s possible though and good meal prep is very convenient on long days at work.

113·11 months agoI feel like it’s just that the fact that the democrats were sabotaging their own chances of winning to support a genocide does not align with some peoples view that the democrats are the ‘good guys’.
‘Man’ isn’t ‘designated’ to anything. We just exist and are sentient and able to think about what we would like our lives to look like. Most people would like to live a life beyond working 40 hours a week on a job they don’t enjoy and where they have no say in anything. We have enough resources to make sure everyone has a home and food and can live a fulfilling life, if only those resources were divided in a fair way.
The point is that terrorism is only applied when it’s convenient for the ruling class. Hate crime murders are similarly politically motivated but don’t get the terrorism label.
China’s top 1% income share is lower than US and Russia. Top 10% income share is also lower in China.

1·1 year agoGood point. Although in my experience rich people with good education are generally very bad representatives for the working class. The people I’ve met that do the best work regarding unionisation and organising are people who learned about class struggle through personal experience.

Let’s not pretend that anyone supporting genocide is a ‘good’ candidate.
Obviously the system doesn’t work for most people with wealth inequality increasing every year without exception and people needing 3 jobs to survive. As long as the system is set up such that there are 2 major parties that fight for media attention by begging for money from rich people there will be no improvement for the working class. The working class knows that and they feel that. However, with lying being so normalised on every news station it’s very difficult to point to the right cause, so people lash out and vote for the candidate that promises change instead of the same spiel.

51·1 year agoIf the European council has enough evidence to call what’s happening in Ukraine a genocide, then they should have more than enough information to call what’s been happening in Palestine a genocide even before Oktober 7th of last year. They didn’t need a ICJ ruling for Ukraine, and they don’t need one for Palestine.

22·1 year agoI’m commenting under an article about the European council why would you assume I’m in the US?
We don’t all have friends in Gaza, most people don’t which is why they are so good at ignoring what’s going on there.
Comparing the Palestinian genocide to China’s repression of Uyghurs is minimising the absolute horrors that are taking place in Palestine. Uyghurs are being repressed and China is violating their human rights, they are not being slaughtered.
The Palestinian genocide is funded by the West. Mostly by the US but the EU and my government is also complicit. I, as a EU citizen will always press harder on crimes that are committed in my name.

75·1 year agoWhat a nonsensical comparison to make. There’s no denying the incomprehensible horrors Palestinians are put through by Israel. From carpet bombings, to denial of humanitarian aid to the killings of humanitarian workers and journalists. The Palestinian genocide is one of the most well documented genocides we’ve seen with literal confessions of Israeli politicians and lawmakers. There is no excuse for the support from European governmental bodies to Israel.

Therapy is not some magical fix. It usually involves learning how to cope healthily and to tell the people who are close to you what you need to be more comfortable in stressful situations.
