  • I’d love to see entertainment democratized. That was kind of the promise of Netflix and YouTube that was sold to us 20 years ago. It was supposed to allow room for many artists to bloom and prosper and find audiences. Unfortunately, that was kind of a false promise and now we still have superstars who suck up the world’s entertainment resources. I want to watch more local bands. I want to watch more independent movies. Taylor swift is just an advertising agency at this point. She’s just a marketing agency with one client.

  • Well that opens up like 3 layers of this onion you dropped on my plate. See I didn’t even have to straw man you! The stereotypes are working on overdrive for me. Holy shit. What can I even say that hasn’t been said at length. If you are American then why would you not use the American use of the word Karma? like popularized on the internet, commonly used for the last 20 or so years Karma. The one an average American would identify with and not the hindu translation. You sure hold a lot of US pride for someone who doesn’t understand US context on popular language? ‘instant karma’ there is no way you exist in America and don’t understand the context I was using.

  • Thank you! I’m working on ditching adobe and apple currently. one day I’ll be a real linux boi. I have hard drive space just no time to do the transfers and file hunting. If I wasn’t over worked, underpaid and exhausted I would have used a better example. An ASML lithography machine costs 400 Million dollars. So idk how anyone is going to produce chips and be worth less than a billion dollars. OP example needs better numbers. Saying companies can’t be worth more than a billion dollars screams: “I don’t know how anything I enjoy is made!!!” vibes.
