Even if they were, they’re usually back up minutes later, seemingly unscathed
Also, being wounded doesn’t really change the way they fight or move. Half the time being wounded doesn’t even change their facial expressions.

Yes. They’ll google something like “watch solo leveling free” and then click on whatever links show up. It’s not exactly advanced.

That’s the thing, most anime viewers aren’t anime nerds. They just watch Solo Leveling or Frieren or whatever the latest, most hype things is and call it a day. That’s why a show whose main character barely has a personality took “Best Character” in the Crunchyroll Awards last year, even against what should’ve been stiff competition. A significant number of viewers didn’t watch any of the shows with good characters. Just Solo Leveling and maybe some isekai slop.
Anecdotally, none of the people I know IRL care about any of this stuff apart from my wife.

We’re outliers though. Less than 10% of anime viewers are gonna have opinions on how Crunchyroll is managed. They just watch whatever the latest hype thing is.

He used to work for Crunchyroll. I’ve no doubt he’s seen it happen firsthand.

I wouldn’t say the manga fell off hard, but it’s definitely running into practical issues with having 37 main characters.
First off, I’m gonna say Eureka 7 is a show that gets better as it goes on. Consider continuing it. Also, I saw that someone was recommending Brave Bang Bravern which is a favorite of mine. If you want something a little more classic though definitely check out Gunbuster (also known as Aim For the Top). It’s only 6 episodes and it’s some of the coolest stuff I’ve ever seen. Really good depiction of time dilation.

Yeah, it’s tons of fun! Also, you’re about to hit one of my favorite moments in the whole show.

I just watched Metal Skin Panic MADOX-01 to prep for tomorrow’s Quest for the Best episode, and it was a good time. The story was quite silly and the characters weren’t particularly interesting, but the old-school mech action was beautifully animated. A well-spent 40 minutes.

Worth noting that the word used for curse here was referring to a subcategory of curses:
呪縛 [じゅばく]
(n,vs,vt) spell that restricts one’s movements; binding spell

Okay but if they did that the episodes would all be on pirate sites day one, unlike right now where they don’t do that and the episodes are all on pirate sites day one anyways.
They sure are protecting their profits or whatever lol good job guys.

And even if I shell out for a blu-ray they won’t let me conveniently watch the blu-ray on my laptop or phone. We really need a new standard.

I feel like I just watched a 15-minute high-effort shitpost. It was fun though.

Genau is so real! Why would you even talk to something like that. Literally no point in that.
Kind of undermined by the fact that he said it to the demon though.

Yeah, it feels especially weird with ranked choice voting. Do I leave them off? Do I put them on? If I put them on, how can I possibly order two shows I haven’t seen? If everyone leaves off shows they haven’t seen, won’t this just be a list of the most-watched shows of the year?
It doesn’t have to be like that! You just gotta show up with wool socks and a decent sleeping pad. It’s a lot easier if you don’t try to hike everything in.
The midges will vary by campsite.
Careful, it’ll make you want to go camping!
I uhhh sure did.

It’s Legend of the Galactic Heroes and it’s not even close. I can’t watch it right now though; one of the main villains reminds me a lot of Trump and it’s too depressing.
It depends. Netflix makes the math a little weird there since there are definitely people watching just one or two anime on Netflix, but then also using it to watch live-action stuff.
