At least with dems nothing changes

the problem with “nothing changes” is that it in fact, does change. wages have stagnated for decades and the cost of living keeps rising, and dems won’t vote to increase minimum wage. meaning dems are actively making things worse for people by doing nothing. dems could have enshrined abortoin rights in law, they did nothing and now those rights are lost to a portion of the nation, with plans by republicans to make that nationwide.

I could keep going like this for hours, talking about all the things dems have made worse with their “nothing changes” policy, but I think we all get the idea. nothing changes is nothing more than a policy of slowly making things worse.

And Microsoft is shutting out most third parties in the near future because of Crowdstrike, so Linux likely won’t be supporting Secure Boot in the future, even if someone did want to enable it for some odd reason.

that’s maybe $200k if it’s covered in gold, but if that’s an actual gold bar, then it’s worth a couple million or so.

The great thing about GOG is you don’t need the launcher, you can use a third party launcher like Heroic or just download the installers directly from the GOG website once you log in.

It’s Gitea with some security fixes and community input, as open source software should be.

I’ve been using copyparty for months, and it’s just been an absolute gem. and the fact there are even iOS shortcuts to upload things you stumble across while doomscrolling is just icing on top.

For touchscreens, Gnome is great, I dunno how well it would work, but I wouldn’t be sad to see someone try to make an actual fully featured Android UI replacement out of it.

Somebody is gonna put Gnome on an Android, I can feel it.
