You fix the first by creating more walkable cities, more third places you can be without needing to spend money, and giving people the time and money they need to go out, do things, and socialize.

The proposed solutions for the “male loneliness epidemic” seem to be a lot more like shitty men saying “women need to lower their standards and be okay with being my therapist/mom/girlfriend, while I change nothing about myself”

We had a family or two of mice living under our kitchen a few months back. We ended up killing 13 total. It was horrible. I hate killing things, even if there’s no better way to deal with them as pests. It just broke my heart every time.

If you don’t mind my asking, where did you go and how was the process? I haven’t left yet, but I think it’s well past time I had a plan. I have a passport and all my documents have the same (although not my preferred) gender markers. So my current thought would be to look for a remote work job and then try for a digital nomad visa somewhere in the EU.
