I didn’t buy a $1200 PC to play TotK. I already had a $1200 PC and decided I wanted to use it to play the game I paid for (and dumped with my own console) with better performance.

99% accurate, but to clarify, dxvk only translates DirectX versions 8-11 to Vulkan. vkd3d translates DX12 games.

That’s one of the cool things about the framework, though, just the fact that you can, because I swap my ports all the time. I use it to game on my big TV at home, but I almost never need an HDMI port on the go, so I pop it out and pop in another USB-C or something.

I have! It was great as well. I think it’s my favorite original romhack so far. I’m planning on playing Insurgence next, although that’s a fan-game as opposed to real romhack.

I’m curious, my playthroughs of both the original and the remake were so long ago - but does D-pad movement buy the player anything? I agree it’s rather silly that it’s not an option, but I don’t remember being hampered by the control scheme in any way.

I believe you can thank Taylor Hawkins for that. I know he was her tour drummer, but I’m pretty sure he wrote drum parts during his time with her, as well.

I disagree, it’s a statement of fact. There’s nothing inherently wrong with that fact that you’re lazy about fiddling with computers. I’m lazy about certain things in my own life.

No, I literally had to add one change to the game launch properties one time. It took me probably 3 minutes of googling and following instructions. I wouldn’t call that “a bunch of fucking shit”.

Helldivers 2 works almost perfectly on Linux. I had to nest it in a gamescope session to fix some weird mouse issues, but that was it. I dual-boot Windows and I’ve never even launched it there.
