For a layman, how might one deduce if they were affected? I cannot really tell from the article if this was particularly widespread.

I am actually among the “don’t like roguelikes but this was an amazing game” crowd. Sorry it didn’t work out for you. I can’t say exactly what it is, but something about how they nailed the roguelike formula is perfect. Always new dialogue to unlock, new things to buy, resources to farm, prophecies to fulfill, there was just so much perfectly aligned for me. Probably helps that I also love Greek mythology.

Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor have a really attractive bundle for both, actually. Pretty fun games if you like the soulsbourne formula.

Or just make sure you check isthereanydeal.

Detroit is a great game if you like cinematic, story-driven experience. It’s like a Choose-Your-Own Adventure book, in video-game form. Kind of like an interactive movie.
This is extra funny because I haven’t given McDonald’s a cent in years.
I thought I might finally escape this dumb myth when I left reddit, but no…
Please, anyone reading this, including you @DrMartinu@lemmy.dbzer0.com , do five seconds of actual research into this myth before you ever perpetuate it again.

Sorry but that is not the worst part.

Jellyfin and Emby are kinda the same thing.

You didn’t answer my question.

Who is going to stop him?

Well I suppose it may depend on the bios you have but I can’t imagine any relatively modern one doesn’t have the option. My partner’s pc would take ages to boot until we turned it off, then it took seconds.

You can turn off memory training in BIOS, fyi.

Okay but you didn’t lead with free and as someone else pointed out that’s a moot point when you’re pirating.

There are cheaper and better TTRPGs.

Mandatory reminder that Jimmy Carter put his peanut farm into a trust to avoid conflict of interest accusations.

You don’t need to apologize.
Linux users? Being holier than thou? Say it ain’t so!

Don’t sleep on the Gamecube man, some real bangers on there. Hell on the Wii and WiiU too. And the Switch. Damn it, say what you want about Nintendo, but they make some damn good games. Luckily emulation or, as you say, second-hand market exists.
