For me the importance is that it’s free - I wouldn’t even pay $5 a month for a service that I’d use in very unlikely situations probably once or twice a year.

They said it’s free for 2 years with any new purchase of iPhone since iPhone 14; and now they’ve extended it for 1 more year. No one has had to pay for any of it yet - and it’s unknown if/when/how it’ll be a paid service

I see why they are “former” Apple designers.

I agree with this in principle.

However this would only make Apple stronger and android weaker.

Apple already does 6 years of updates, whereas android manufacturers are lucky to provide 2 years. Imposing such terms of android manufacturers will make them leave the market - thus reducing competition.

The alleged is probably more a policy thing.

Like where does the organisation draw the line between “obviously guilty” and “obviously not guilty” - there has to be a bar set somewhere. And right now, it is the legal definition.

This is the interesting thing about looking hot. It brings its own host of problems; serious problems they aren’t really acknowledged by society at large because of apparent privilege.

It’s probably near carbon neutral as each dead person removes a lot of carbon load.

Bad people can do good things. And good people can do bad things.

The technology and drive to get this rate of growth is amazing.
