EU flag doesn’t fit here because it’s a symbol that’s used nowadays to represent 27 countries, not just colonisers. that’s why I initially said it was anachronistic

and there are still many eu member states that can hardly be accused of directly engaging in modern colonialism, I’m simply saying we shouldn’t lump them all together

modern european colonialism doesn’t have much to do with god or promised land anymore, and even then a british or a french flag would be more appropriate imo

I think you’re referring to LLMs which are just one tiny facet of what we can do with AI. But there are so many other use cases (disease diagnosis, weather prediction, spam or fraud detection, just to name a few), so we shouldn’t disregard it as a whole. I agree that generative AI is being overhyped these days though and it’s also making me mad that it causes people to think that’s all there is to AI.
