My husband (one of the most trustworthy and responsible people I know- flaws and all) has been talking about getting a concealed-carry permit.

My argument against it, is that if there is an active shooter and he also pulls out his gun to take them out, the cops or other permit-owners might not realize that he’s the “good guy” and he (or I, if I’m nearby) could get shot instead.

The problem is that younger people often don’t vote. So chasing their votes is a losing strat. Younger citizens need to actually get out there and make sure that they are casting votes, otherwise they will continue to not be taken seriously

Yeah, my husband and I tend to trade off playing during 1-player games, and I’d essentially toss the controller at him each time there was an enemy. He got to the point of “fuck this, I’m running” (Though we haven’t played in a while due to the nausea I get from it)

If you’re looking at some kind of demographic, it’s also all right to mention it. Idk if it’s true that conservative white dudes like gay/trans porn more than anyone else, but I think it’s ok to mention that. Especially since the consumption of gay/trans porn on it’s own isn’t necessarily a negative (unless there’s anything non-consential going on ir someone is underage). It’s more the hypocracy of it all that gets peeps riled up

I like the game but I can’t deal with the nausea. Idk what it is about it, (I suspect it’s the rain) but within minutes I feel sick and need to go lay down. My husband has no issues with it. We’re probably about 30% through.

I love the weirdness of the story. The voice acting is pretty good. The environment is immersive, and I’ll remember that cake scene forever. (But the boat controls suck, combat isn’t fun and doesn’t add anything to the game, and I’m not a fan of having to run to a point in order to fast travel)

Not neccessarily. I once knew a cat who would suckle on her paw-pad. Just one of them. It was so adorable. She was properly weaned when (boyfriend at the time) got her. (I was there, met the owner of the mother and other kittens). Only annoying thing is that sometimes her paw was wet when she stood on us

I felt bad for not liking the first, but worse about the thought of some poor lil kid digging it up in Africa. We found a synthetic diamond that is PERFECT and glitters like crazy. I’m extremely happy with my synthetic diamond ring. It’s the prettiest piece of jewelry that I’ve ever owned. Highly recommended

This is going to sound insane, but I can’t get rid of Medi-cal. I did need it during covid because my insurance was tied to work and I was living with some elderly folk. I kept it when I moved in with my (then) boyfriend because I was in an area where I struggled to find a job. But then we got married, and I have been on his insurance for more than a year. I’ve called (even spoken to a few people), and I’ve written letters, but they just keep renewing it. Most recently I tried calling again but I gave up after waiting for an hour.

I couldn’t even use it if it wanted to because my name is different now, but the fact that I can’t communicate with them to let them know that I don’t need it is frustrating

And that made me wonder. I can’t get through to them to tell them that I don’t need it, right? How the hell does someone who DOES need it get through to get some help?
