    • Remove home grow options altogether.
    • Reduce possession limits from 2.5oz to 1oz
    • Raise tax from 10% to 15%
    • Change the tax allocations so that the largest chunk goes to a government discretionary fund, second largest share going to law enforcement.
    • And it would reduce the THC limit from 35 percent for flower and 90 percent for extracts to 25 percent for flower and 50 percent for extracts.

They are so pissed that people wanna smoke.

Also wtf kinda garbage extract is only 50% I don’t think I’ve ever seen an extract less than 70%

Mike DeWine and his gang of criminals have 0 respect or shred of integrity and ethical province. His old PUCO chairman got indicted today from back in 2019 with the FirstEnergy scandal. Ohio republicans are a fucking scourge.

Ohio just passed a pretty good legalization bill by popular vote. So Ohio’s okay but their R majority reps are about to learn a lesson.

Yeah, as an Ohioan, it ain’t flipping blue, at least until we can end gerrymandering and actually running an interesting democrat statewide.

It may be slow, but it is not out of the question. A lot of the suburban and rural areas, around me, are flying far less trump flags than there used to be. Like whole areas that damn near had a trump flag/sign/etc in their yard have, at least, decided it is best not to broadcast that anymore. So something is changing.

Yeah there is a dearth of good generally electable Dems. It’s like both parties are doubling down on their most unpopular stances.

Since the discussion doesn’t seem to include much, if anything from the article above, allow me to quote:
    "

An Ohio Senate committee has given initial approval to a newly unveiled proposal to fundamentally alter the state’s voter-approved marijuana legalization law that’s set to take effect later this week.

The legislation being advanced in the GOP-controlled chamber would eliminate a home grow option for adults, criminalize the use and possession of marijuana obtained outside of a licensed retailer, reduce the possession limit, raise the sales tax on cannabis and steer funding away from social equity programs and toward law enforcement—along with other amendments concerning THC limits, public consumption and changes to hemp-related rules that stakeholders say would “devastate” the market."

Imagine fucking voting on something and then having some old fucks decide that what you voted for wasn’t exactly what they wanted you to vote for. Fuck that entire system.

Unfortunately there are young fucks (relatively) who do the same damn thing. In re: Kristi Noem, SD gov (if anyone hasn’t heard of her, she’s a potential running mate for Trump, and hasn’t paid an ounce of attention to her state since she was sworn in, in 2019). She flipped out when SD passed their recreational measure in 2020 and had the state supreme court overrule it with an incredibly flimsy argument essentially saying the measure wasn’t valid in the ballot as written (the state’s fault really, or was that “oversight” some kind of conspiracy?). Went against the majority, in a state where 2/3 of voters are Republican, forfeited millions in easy tax revenue, all to reject the will of the people simply because she doesn’t like it.

Party of small government and freedom, eh? Her words are like her lips: bloated and fake, fully ingenuine.
